To unite Michigan finance professionals for the purpose of providing effective and professional financial management of public entity resources and to promote and support the professional development of its members. And in partnership with other organizations, collaborate to promote use of financial governance best practices in the management of Michigan public entities.

Fall Training Institute which served over 200 members with three days of training. Topics included Ethics, Enterprise Fund Accounting Issues, Pension/OPEB Financing, Accounting for Intergovernmental Grants GASB Update, GASB 87, Continuing Disclosure, Budgeting and Cash Management etc.
Spring Seminar which served over 350 members with a one-day training session with the primary focus on Legislative Updates, Economic Update GASB and Economic update.
Professional Development courses consisting of several training opportunities for members in full and 1/2 day sessions and webinars. Topics included Advanced Cash Management Advanced Accounting Advanced Debt Management Advanced Budgeting Forecasting Advanced Payroll and Labor Issues and government finance basics.
