Kids Hope USA builds caring relationships-one child, one hour, one church, one school. KHUSA accomplishes its mission through the development of partnerships between local churches and public elementary schools, and equips churches to provide trained mentors for at-risk students.
Kids Hope USA enables churches to recruit, train and supervise volunteers from their church membership for mentoring relationships with at-risk public school children. As of September 30, 2020, there are more than 19,800 trained volunteers, engaged in the lives of these elementary aged children. KHUSA supports 1200 churches in 37 states serving over 9,300 students each week in the Kids Hope USA program, adding up to 782,000 volunteer hours. These numbers are down from the prior year due to the pandemic, but Kids Hope has found ways to continue mentoring, both on-line and through a pen-pal program.
