Organizations Filed Purposes:
WOMEN AND MEN IN THE CLUB VOLUNTEER TO ASSIST ORGANIZATIONS IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA WITH EDUCATION, RECREATION AND HEALTH PROGRAMS. THE CLUB IS ALSO ABLE TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO NOT-FOR-PROFIT GROUPS SERVING YOUTH. THE FRIEND OF YOUTH FOUNDATION IS THAT PART OF THE CLUB DEVOTED TO FUNDING THE ABOVE MISSION.
TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND SERVICE FOR YOUTH
THE FRIEND OF YOUTH FOUNDATION PROVIDES GRANTS THROUGH THE YOUTH WORK FUND. THE YOUTH WORK FUND SERVES AS THE SOLE SUPPORT TO THE ST. LOUIS OPTIMIST CLUB'S PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH. THE GRANTS BENEFIT YOUTH WHO LIVE PRIMARILY IN ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AREAS OF OUR COMMUNITY. THESE GRANTS ARE MADE TO OTHER 501(C)3 ORGANIZATIONS (PRIMARILY THE YOUTH AND FAMILY CENTER AND CITY ACADEMY) WHO CARRYOUT THE ACTUAL YOUTH PROGRAMS.
