THE WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER REHABILITATES INJURED, SICK AND ORPHANED NATIVE WILDLIFE AND RELEASES HEALTHY ANIMALS TO THEIR NATURAL HABITAT. THROUGH EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH, THE CENTER PROVIDES ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS, PROMOTES A HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH NATIVE WILDLIFE, AND ENCOURAGES THE COMMUNITY TO PROTECT OUR DELICATE ECOSYSTEMS.
PROMOTE ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP THROUGH WILDLIFE REHABILITATION AND PUBLIC EDUCATION.
IN 2019 THE WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER ADMITTED 3,070 INJURED, ORPHANED OR SICK ANIMAL PATIENTS REPRESENTING 70 SPECIES OF MISSOURI WILDLIFE. PATIENTS WERE PRESENTED BY MORE THAN 1,900 INDIVIDUALS FROM 31 MISSOURI COUNTIES. THE CENTER RESPONDED TO OVER 15,000 REQUESTS FROM THE PUBLIC TO PROVIDE PROGRAM SERVICES AND EXPERT ADVICE ON WILDLIFE-RELATED ISSUES. OVER 3,500 YOUTH AND ADULTS ATTENDED WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS. THE WILDLIFE RESCUE CENTER FULFILLED ITS MISSION WITH THE HELP OF APPROXIMATELY 200 VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTING MORE THAN 18,800 HOURS OF SERVICE.
