Our missionary families on the ground in Uganda provide discipleship and counseling to our South Sudanese children attending university there. The field workers also are overseeing the development of the Arise Discipleship and Retreat Center where students, missionaries, and church leaders will have the opportunity to refresh and take advantage of discipleship training.
We support the peacemaking process in South Sudan through our partner EPC. Small groups of leaders are gathered from both the government and rebels in each state they reside to talk through the violations each has committed, offer forgiveness where needed, and look towards creative solutions that not only stop violence, but also empower the South Sudanese to flourish.
Support the ministry of Rift Valley Fellowship in Maai Mahiu, Kenya. This ministry oversees a safe house (Lulu Place) for 12 vulnerable girls with the potential to fall into the trade of prostitution.The home provides the girls with an education and teaches them like skills. The ministry is also sheltering 12 boys who have been rescued from the streets of Maai Mahiu where they were exposed to pornography, drugs, and were risked be involved in sex trafficking. We are working with RVF to to construct a permanent boy's home called Way of Hope.
