The mission of the safe house for women is to stop domestic violence and help survivors of domestic abuse regain a sense of their strength, power, and future.
Residential Program- The Safe House operates a 40 bed residential emergency shelter for adults and children who have experienced domestic violence. The Safe House also operates a 14-unit transitional housing program for survivors of intimate partner violence. Services include case management, housing advocacy, substance use recovery advocacy, counseling, and support groups. The Safe House served 146 adults and 105 children with residential services. The Safe House received 655 hotline calls and provided 6,655 bednights of shelter. There were 956 residential case management sessions and 255 substance use recovery sessions.
Non-Residential Programs-The Safe House operates an outreach center for non-residential adults and children who have experienced domestic violence. The Safe House served 361 adults and 44 children with non-residential services. Court advocacy was provided to 126 clients. There were 276 non-residential case management sessions and 1,315 counseling sessions.
