Organizations Filed Purposes: To help educators inspire Missourians to care about, understand and act for their environment through professional development and networking activities.

Missouri Environmental Literacy Advisory Board MELAB --MELAB is a group of groups that meets semiannually to work on state-wide environmental educaton projects. MEEA coordinates the meetings and carries out work on the projets between meetings. These include developing standards and assessments for measuring environmental literacy, developing a pipeline of environmental leadership activities for children, youth and young adults and starting a green schools program.

Annual Conference--The annual conference is an opportunity for educators to share what they are doing in their programs and to find out what other educators, state and national programs have to offer.

Networking--MEEA presents at and participates in state and national science and environmental education conferences. Presentations included connecting Common Core and Next Gen Science Standards to Outdoor Education, developing assessment tools and organizing a state group of groups.
