Organizations Filed Purposes: Bringing hope to survivors of human trafficking through love, guidance and the assurance of a long-term home.

There are more than 40 million persons enslaved in human trafficking around the globe. Human trafficking in all its forms is an enormously complex issue. Its eradication requires a multi-faceted strategy that incorporates many organizations in areas such as prevention, awareness and restoration. The KC Metro area continues to grow as a hub for human trafficking for a variety of reasons. R|H Farms is one of the few programs that provides long-term residential services to adults. R|H Farms meets the fastest growing and second largest criminal enterprise of human trafficking with a proportionate response to help close the massive gap in needed housing. R|H Farms provides housing, food, healthcare, therapy, education, emotional and spiritual counseling, and job skill training without charge, without discrimination, to adult women survivors of human trafficking. R|H Farms has a program of microenterprises as part our job and life skills training for survivors to produce products that we sell for support. In addition to providing funding for our programs, these microenterprises teach valuable skills and employment experience to our program participants. The participants make tumblers, soap and art to sell. Survivors will be able to reside at R|H Farms, being afforded the time, space and individualized care, instruction and therapies necessary to become healthy, self-sustaining, significant contributors to society. While in the program, the women learn job skills, life skills and participate in educational programs. R|H Farms includes introduction to microenterprise business skill building in order to assist in building independence and self-sufficiency. Through community support and other sources of funding, participants will learn soft skills that involve artistic expression, gardening for food and sale, and other agricultural programs, such as egg and milk production.

In November, 2019, R|H, in partnership with Missouri Baptist Children's Home, opened the Mabee House, serving minor survivors of human sex trafficking. The Mabee House, located just outside of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area, serves up to 7 minor (11-17 years of age) survivors of human sex trafficking at one-time. In addition to R|H Farms, the Mabee House will serve as a facility toward the healing and restoration of minors that may have unique mental, emotional or physical considerations, more conducive to a smaller footprint environment. Additionally, the Mabee House for minors will serve as a transition step toward placement on R|H Farms for those minors who "age out".
