Organizations Filed Purposes:
The mission of The Jefferson City Symphony Orchestra is twofold. The first objective is to provide the mid-Missouri community with symphonic concerts of classical music literature from many cultures. The second objective is to provide symphonic performance opportunities for middle-school through high school age string students. The symphony, therefore, is like a one-room schoolhouse with approximately two-thirds of the musicians being adults, and the remaining one-third being students.
Three concerts, a piano competition and many educational opportunities.
