THE MISSION OF THE NATIONAL BIODIESEL BOARD IS TO ADVANCE THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS BY CREATING SUSTAINABLE BIODIESEL INDUSTRY GROWTH. NBB SERVES AS THE INDUSTRY'S CENTRAL COORDINATING ENTITY AND WILL BE THE SINGLE VOICE FOR ITS DIVERSE MEMBERSHIP BASE. GROWTH WILL BE ACHIEVED THROUGH PUBLIC AFFAIRS, COMMUNICATIONS, TECHNICAL, AND QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAMS NBB IS DEDICATED INCLUSIVENESS AND INTEGRITY.
NBB WORKS TO CREATE INDUSTRY GROWTH THROUGH PUBLIC AFFAIRS, COMMUNICATIONS, TECHNICAL, AND QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAMS.
NBB'S TECHNICAL PROGRAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ORGANIZING AND COORDINATING ALL TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND OUTREACH EFFORTS ON BEHALF OF THE INDUSTRY. THESE ACTIVITIES INCLUDE WORK WITH VEHICLE AND ENGINE MANUFACTURERS, WORK WITH THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF TESTING AND MATERIALS (ASTM), EFFORTS REGARDING FUEL QUALITY AND FUEL QUALITY ASSURANCE AND OTHER ANNUAL PROJECT SPECIFIC TECHNICAL OBJECTIVES.
NBB'S GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS PROGRAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WORKING WITH ALL FEDERAL AND STATE AGENCIES TO ENSURE PUBLIC POLICY AND REGULATIONS SUPPORT THE PRODUCTION AND USE OF BIODIESEL IN THE UNITED STATES. EFFORTS INCLUDE SUPPORT OF FEDERAL AND STATE INCENTIVES, FEDERAL AND STATE REGULATORY SUPPORT, STATE FUEL QUALITY EDUCATION, AND SUPPORT AND OTHER ANNUAL PROJECT SPECIFIC REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE OBJECTIVES.
NBB'S COMMUNICATIONS, EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR EDUCATING CONSUMERS, PRODUCERS, DISTRIBUTORS, THE MEDIA AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON THE ADVANTAGES OF BIODIESEL. EFFORTS INCLUDE EDUCATION OF GOVERNMENT FLEETS, COMMERCIAL FLEETS, OTHER VALUE-ADDED FLEETS, MEDIA AND PRESS OUTLETS, DEVELOPMENT OF MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS AND OTHER ANNUAL PROJECT SPECIFIC COMMUNICATIONS, EDUCATION AND OUTREACH OBJECTIVES.
