THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE BOARD HAS BEEN TO HELP SUPPORT PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT THE GLOBAL HEALTH IN THE COMMUNITY IN GREATER LEE'S SUMMIT. GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED ANNUALLY. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO THE TOP QUALIFIED STUDENTS FROM OR LIVING IN LEE'S SUMMIT THAT ARE PURSUING CAREERS IN HEALTH RELATED OCCUPATIONS AND SUBMIT THE COMPLETED APPLICATION TO THE FOUNDATION.

The Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation awarded $65,000 in scholarships for 2020 for students preparing for careers in health care at the following universities and colleges: Research College of Nursing, Truman State University, University of Central Arkansas, University of Central Missouri, University of Illinois, University of Kansas Medical Center, University of Missouri - Columbia, University of Missouri - Kansas City, & Webster University.
In 2020 grants were awarded totalling $62,975 grants were awarded to: Coldwater of Lee's Summit, Developing Potential, Inc., Hillcrest Ministries Affiliate No. 1, Jackson County CASA, John Knox Village, Lee's Summit CARES, Lee's Summit United Methodist Church, Meals on Wheels of Lee's Summit, Inc., ReDiscover, Truman Medical Center Charitable Foundation, & ProDeo Youth Center.
