Professional development - IAAP hosts several professional development opportunities for administrative professionals; Frontline and Enterprise Leadership Conference (formerly known as EA Symposium), Capstone Conference, Foundations of Leadership, IAAP region events, and IAAP branch events. Enterprise Leadership is a 2 1/2 day training event for those administrative professionals supporting c-suite level executives or equivalents. Frontline Leadership is a 2 1/2 day training event for those who serve in a supervisory role. During the year ended September 30, 2019 IAAP held the Enterprise and Frontline Leadership in New York, NY with 35 attendees. There were 18 education sessions offered at these conferences. The Capstone conference is an educational event for administrative professionals preparing to take the certified administrative professionals exam or those already certified who wish to earn a specialty certificate in a specialized, focused area of study. During the 2018/2019 fiscal year IAAP held a Capstone conference in San Diego, California with 211 attendees and 25 educational sessions. A Fall CAP Bootcamp was held in Kansas City, Missouri with 27 attendees. Region events are regional educational conferences designed to provide top-tier speakers and content throughout North America in a one-day format. IAAP held 33 Region Events during the 2018/2019 fiscal year. Branch events are local events which typically provide one or two hours of professional networking and/or education. Branch events are designed to provide high quality professional development close to home or virtually through a webinar. During the 2018/2019 fiscal year IAAP hosted 521 Branch Events.
Summit - The number of attendees for the conference during the fiscal year was 1,144. The meeting's objective was to provide educational resources to members as well as networking opportunities. This is IAAP's signature event open to members and non-members. It offers continuing education, dynamic speakers, and leadership opportunities. This year's meeting offered 44 educational sessions; many qualifying for recertification points. This event also encompasses a high energy MarketPlace to bring our attendees one-on-one contact with relevant vendors and new products. Attendees gain vision, motivation, and actual on the job skills to take back to their workplace.
Membership Services - Services related to providing membership benefits including processing membership dues and member volunteer management related to coordinating the activities of the region and branch communities.
