OZARKS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (THE "ORGANIZATION") RECEIVED IRS STATUS AS A SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION FOR THE UPPER WHITE RIVER BASIN FOUNDATION (THE "FOUNDATION"). THE FOUNDATION IS A 501(C)3 WATERSHED CONSERVATION ORGANIZATION, DEDICATED TO PROTECTING WATER QUALITY IN THE UPPER WHITE RIVER WATERSHED OF SOUTHWEST MISSOURI AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS. THE FOUNDATION ENGAGES IN MANY DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES TO HELP PROTECT THE UPPER WHITE RIVER WATERSHED'S WATERWAYS AND WATER SOURCES FROM EXCESSIVE POLLUTION AND DEGRADATION, INCLUDING EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT NEW TECHNOLOGIES AND PRACTICES FOR DECENTRALIZED WASTEWATER TREATMENT. THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED BY THE FOUNDATION SPECIFICALLY TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF THERE BEING A LACK OF QUALIFIED TECHNICIANS TO PERFORM THE NECESSARY MAINTENANCE WORK ON THE ADVANCED WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS. THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS AND FURTHERS THE FOUNDATION'S TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE OF PROTECTING THE WATER QUALITY OF THE UPPER WHITE RIVER WATERSHED BY PERFORMING MAINTENANCE WORK ON ADVANCED WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS AND DRINKING WATER SYSTEMS IN COMMUNITIES NOT SERVED BY TRADITIONAL MUNICIPAL SYSTEMS.

THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO CONTRACT WITH THE COMMUNITY OF ROCKAWAY BEACH, MO TO OPERATE THEIR WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY (WWTF), THAT HAD BEEN UNDER ENFORCEMENT WITH THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY AND MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE U.S. CLEAN WATER ACT. THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH TANEY COUNTY, MISSOURI, THE WWTF MET ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE U.S. CLEAN WATER ACT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 10 YEARS IN THE FALL OF 2016 AND CONTINUES TO MEET ALL CLEAN WATER ACT PERMIT LIMITS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ALSO CONTRACTED WITH CITY OF HIGHLANDVILLE AND CITY OF REEDS SPRING, MO TO HELP THEM OPERATE THEIR WWTF.

THE ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO EXPAND THE NUMBER OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS, ONSITE SEPTIC SYSTEMS AND DRINKING WATER SYSTEMS MAINTAINED WHICH ALLOWED THE HIRING OF AN ADDITIONAL OPERATOR. THE SUCCESSFUL OPERATION OF WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS AND ONSITE SEPTIC SYSTEMS REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF POLLUTION ENTERING GROUND AND SURFACE WATER AND PROTECTS PUBLIC HEALTH
