THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION IS TO FACILITATE THE PHYSICIAN'S RETURN TO A HEALTHY PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE THROUGH EARLY IDENTIFICATION, INTERVENTION, TREATMENT REFERRAL, LONG-TERM MONITORING AND ADVOCACY.
the Missouri Physicians Health Program is available to help physicians address a range of concerns including mental health, disruptive behavior, boundary violations, chemical dependency, addictions, physical illness, family support, licensure issues, among others.
The program provides intervention in the assistance of rehabilitation for approximately 216 chemically, psychologically or behaviorally impaired physicians and those who referred them in the state of Missouri. During 2020, 24 participants successfully completed the program. 6 were administratively released and 1 deceased. As of 12/31/20, the program had 90 current participants.
