QUALITY OF LIFE: TO GIVE BACK TO THE REGION THROUGH STRATEGIC COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH, PROSPERITY, AND GENERAL QUALITY OF LIFE IN THE REGION.-BUILT RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND ELECTED OFFICIALS IN LEADERSHIP ROLES TO REDUCE VIOLENT CRIME IN THE REGION.- INVESTED $346,000 IN THE URBAN LEAGUE'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND GUN VIOLENCE DE-ESCALATION PROGRAMMING IN NORTH ST. LOUIS CITY TO PROVIDE ESSENTIAL SERVICES TO NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS AND REDUCE THE RATE OF VIOLENT CRIME. AS WELL AS, THEIR ADDITIONAL FOOD SERVICES PROVIDED TO FAMILIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. - RAISED OVER $500,000 TO SUPPLEMENT THE FOOD DRIVES ORGANIZED BY THE URBAN LEAGUE DURING COVID-19.- INVESTED $20,000 IN THE LEADERSHIP COUNCIL OF SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC POLICY INITIATIVES AROUND SHARED PUBLIC POLICY INTERESTS, WITH SPECIAL FOCUS ON SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE. - PROVIDED $20,000 TO SUPPORT THE GATEWAY ARCH PARK FOUNDATION'S JOURNEY FUND, EXPANDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN FROM REGIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICTS, IN PARTICULAR THOSE DEMONSTRATING THE GREATEST FINANCIAL NEED, TO TOUR THE NEW ARCH EXPERIENCE TO ADVANCE THEIR CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL EDUCATION.- PROVIDED $41,400 TO THE ST. LOUIS POLICE FOUNDATION TO ENSURE CITY AND COUNTY OFFICERS RECEIVED MUCH NEEDED TRAINING, EQUIPMENT, AND TECHNOLOGY.- PROVIDED $7,591 FOR HUMANIM'S PROPOSAL TO ESTABLISH A SUSTAINABLE DECONSTRUCTION OPERATION OF ABANDONED HOMES IN NORTH ST. LOUIS CITY.- SUPPORTED GREATER ST. LOUIS FOUNDATION WITH FUNDING OF $25,000 FOR LIGHTING IN DOWNTOWN ST. LOUIS.- PROVIDED $5,000 TO CIVIC PRIDE FOUNDATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TARGETED COMMUNICATIONS FOR MASK WEARING DURING COVID-19. - INVESTED $42,500 IN THE ST. LOUIS REGIONAL HEALTH COMMISSION TO PURCHASE OUTREACH VEHICLES TO SPREAD INFORMATION ABOUT THE VACCINE AND PROVIDE MEDICAL INFORMATION TO THOSE IN VULNERABLE NEIGHBORHOODS. - CONTRIBUTED $60,000 TO BUILD CAPACITY FOR LOCAL NON-PROFITS SERVING UNDER-RESOURCED YOUTH THROUGH THE RBC'S SOCIAL VENTURE PARTNERS. NON-PROFITS INCLUDED, CHADS COALITION FOR MENTAL HEALTH, THE SOULFISHER MINISTRIES, AND UNLEASHING POTENTIAL.- CONTRIBUTED $317 TO SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS THAT PROVIDED FOOD TO POLICE. - CONTRIBUTED $75,000 TO THE ST. LOUIS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE SMALL GRANTS TO THOSE IN NEED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, AS WELL AS, SUPPORTING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE ANALYSIS IN THE ST. LOUIS REGION.- CONTRIBUTED $200,000 TO THE PAS ASSOCIATION TO SUPPORT THE REVIEW OF CITY AND COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENTS TO LOOK FOR WAYS TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY AND IMPROVE COMMUNITY RELATIONSHIPS. - ALLOCATED $1,000 TO NORTHSIDE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH TO SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY NEEDS DURING THE PANDEMIC. - CONTRIBUTED $1,000 TO THE SITEMAN CENTER TO SUPPORT THEIR CONTINUED EFFORTS SURROUNDING CANCER RESEARCH.
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION: TO DEVELOP AND PROMOTE A GLOBALLY DIVERSE WORKFORCE AND MINORITY-FRIENDLY BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO ENSURE THE REGION IS ABLE TO COMPETE AND THAT ALL CITIZENS TO HAVE ACCESS TO OPPORTUNITIES. - PROVIDED $15,000 TO THE ASIAN-AMERICAN AND $16,800 TO THE HISPANIC CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE TO PROMOTE MINORITY-OWNED BUSINESSES AND PROFESSIONAL DIVERSITY. - ALLOCATED $15,000 TO THE ST. LOUIS MOSAIC PROJECT TO SUPPORT THEIR MISSION OF ESTABLISHING THE ST. LOUIS REGION AS THE FASTEST -GROWING DESTINATION FOR FOREIGN-BORN STUDENTS AND RETAINING THEM AS PROFESSIONALS AFTER GRADUATION. - CONTRIBUTED $5,000 TO ROYAL VAGABONDS TO INCREASE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR BLACK MEN. - FILLED BOARD SEATS AT CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS WITH MEMBERS OF THE YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK'S LEADERSHIP 100.- PROVIDED $9,900 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO BLACK STUDENTS GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION DURING THE ST. LOUIS AMERICAN'S SALUTE TO EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION AWARDS.
