CCSOMO PROVIDES A WIDE VARIETY OF SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED THROUGHOUT THE 39 SOUTHERNMOST COUNTIES IN MISSOURI, MANY OF WHICH ARE THE MOST IMPOVERISHED IN THE STATE. WE SERVE ALL PEOPLE, REGARDLESS OF FAITH, RACE OR NATIONALITY, WITH DIGNITY AND RESPECT AND WE SEEK TO EMPOWER OUR CLIENTS TO MAKE PERMANENT CHANGES IN THEIR LIVES THAT LEAD TO SELF-SUFFICIENCY.

DISASTER RESPONSE AND HOME REPAIR/REBUILDING: WE PROVIDE SHORT-TERM AID AS WELL AS LONG-TERM CASE MANAGEMENT FOR SURVIVORS OF NATURAL DISASTERS. WE REPAIR AND REBUILD HOMES DAMAGED IN NATURAL DISASTERS AND WE REPAIR HOMES FOR SENIORS AND LOW-INCOME FAMILIES TO MAKE THEM SAFE AND ACCESSIBLE. WE MANAGE AND COORDINATE VOLUNTEERS TO ASSIST IN OUR REPAIR/REBUILD PROGRAM. OUR NEWLY LAUNCHED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM INVOLVES ON-THE-JOB TRAINING/APPRENTICESHIP IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

WITH TARGETED CASE MANAGEMENT, WE PROVIDE GUIDANCE AND ACCESS TO RESOURCES THAT MEET THE DISTINCT NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES TO HELP MAXIMIZE THEIR POTENTIAL AND STRENGTHEN THEIR LEVEL OF INDEPENDENCE. WE PROVIDED OVER 23,000 HOURS OF TCM FOR 788 INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2020.

HOMELESS PREVENTION AND FAMILY STRENGTHENING - THIS PROGRAM AREA WORKS WITH HOUSEHOLDS WHO ARE HOMELESS OR AT-RISK OF HOMELESSNESS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES. ALL OF THE HOUSING PROGRAMS INCLUDE INTENSIVE CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AS WELL AS TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR RENT AND UTILITIES WITH THE GOAL OF ACHIEVING HOUSING STABILITY AND FINANCIAL SELF-SUFFICIENCY. LIFEHOUSE CRISIS MATERNITY HOME PROVIDES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO HOMELESS PREGNANT WOMEN AND THEIR YOUNG CHILDREN. LIFEHOUSE SERVES ON AVERAGE 25 HOMELESS WOMEN, THEIR INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN WITH RESIDENTIAL SERVICES PER YEAR.
