The New City School develops each child's individual strengths through an integrated multiple intelligences curriculum. We prepare children, age three through grade six, to be confident joyful learners who are successful academically, knowledgeable about themselves and others, and who value diversity.
The New City School provides an unparalleled elementary academic education, that is the foundation for success in secondary schooling and beyond, to students ranging in age from age three through grade six. New City students learn fundamental tools and skills through a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum taught by dedicated and experienced teachers.
The New City School provides quality After School Care and Camp Programming to the community. Students in the After School Program are in the care of experienced staff memebrs from 3:30 until as late as 6:00 P.M. In the After School Program children have a snack, play outside, do homework, play games, and read stories.Camp Programming is available during Spring Break, Winter Break, and the summer. The New City School also offers a program called "No School at School" when school is not in session during the school year and parents need child care.
An important aspect of our international leadership role in elementary education is sharing our intellectual capital about our work with mulitple intelligences and diversity. To that end, we offer workshops, wrote three books and host visitors from other schools, both locally and from around the world.
