To research, develop and advance public policies that enhance economic growth and opportunity for all residents of Missouri.
The Show-Me Institute commissioned and published five (5) studies by outside scholars, and staff of the Institute researched and wrote fifteen (15) studies, twenty-one (21) commentaries and 249 blog posts, related to various topics including education, state taxes, and Missouri's economic growth. The studies were made available to the public in print form, commentaries were published in newspapers, and all studies, commentaries and blog posts are made available to the public online.
Throughout Missouri, the Show-Me Institute hosted lectures and seminars, participated in public events, and appeared in numerous media outlets, i.e., radio and television, to present its research findings to local and state nonprofit, legislative, media, and citizen groups. With respect to lectures and seminars, the Institute sponsored or co-sponsored, seven (7) evening lectures by scholars - three (3) in Kansas City, three (3) in St. Louis, and one (1) in Columbia. The Institute sponsored or co-sponsored three (3) breakfast forums in Columbia, four (4) breakfast forums in Kansas City, four (4) breakfast forums in St Louis, and two (2) lunch forums in Springfield. The Institute also co-sponsored two conferences/workshops in St. Louis and participated in twenty-two (22) podcasts.
