St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center is a 844-bed hospital campus providing services without regard to patient race, creed, national origin, economic status, or ability to pay. During fiscal year 2020, St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center treated 32,207 adults and children for a total of 193,079 patient days of service. The hospital also provided services for 804,880 outpatient visits, which included 17,263 outpatient surgeries and 91,054 Emergency Room Visits. As part of the Ascension Catholic health ministry, the filing organization served in support of Ascension's commitment to both care for patients and communities and support caregivers and other associates through the challenges of the COVID-19 global pandemic in FY20.
We are a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care and Level I Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center and Transplant Center. We deliver care for life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Our care teams listen to quickly understand your health needs and deliver care that's right for you. We are also a destination for specialty care - including heart and vascular health, orthopedics, stroke care, cardiac rehabilitation and critical care. Our OB-GYN maternity care teams at our Birthing Center deliver a personalized birthing experience. We offer a wide range of minimally invasive procedures, imaging, lab tests and rehabilitation services, all on one campus. We have committed resources to eight centers of excellence including the Ascension St. Vincent Heart Center, Transplant Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center and Neuroscience Center.

Our primary and specialty care doctors offer advanced care close to home. Rural and Urban Access to Health (RUAH) Rural and Urban Access to Health (RUAH) is a community-based care coordination program sponsored by Ascension Medical Group - St. Vincent. Inspired by the work of St. Vincent de Paul, the purpose of RUAH is to connect our friends, family and neighbors to a combined network of health, human and social services resulting in improved access to care and removal of barriers to needed resources.
