WE WORKED TIRELESSLY TO HELP OUR STUDENTS DEVELOP THE SKILLS AND HABITS FOR SUCCESS, SO THEY CAN SEE AND BELIEVE IN THEIR POSSIBILITIES. 217 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM AND 2015 TO 2016.
IMPACT TUTORING IMPACT TUTORING USES AN INDIVIDUALIZED APPROACH TO HELP STUDENTS IMPROVE IN MATH AND COMMUNICATION ARTS. IMPACT OF STUDENTS PERFORMING BELOW THE GRADE LEVEL THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH THE TUTOR TWICE A WEEK TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS IN THE CLASSROOM AND HIGHER TEST SCORES OVERALL. TO CREATE AN INDIVIDUALIZED TUTORING PROGRAM, IMPACT STAFF CONDUCTS DIAGNOSTIC TESTING IN READING AND MATH, REVIEWS, CLASSROOM GRADES AND STANDARDIZED TEST AND CONSULTS WITH TEACHERS TO CREATE A LEARNING PLAN. IMPACT IS SES CERTIFIED WITH THE STATE OF MISSOURI. 292 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM. IN 2015 TO 2016.
EXPLORE CAREER PREPARATION EXPLORE IS A MULTIFACETED, EXPERIMENTAL ASPECT OF THE RESTORATION MODEL. SO THIS PROGRAM, STUDENTS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS TO LEARN ABOUT CAREER OPTIONS THAT EXIST IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA. THE PROGRAM ALSO TAKES LOCAL LEADERS TO THE SCHOOLS TO CONDUCT HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS ON DIFFERENT CAREER TOPICS. STUDENTS REALIZE THAT THE WORK THEY ARE COMPLETING TODAY IS RAMIFICATIONS FOR THE FUTURE AND LEAD TO JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR OWN BACKYARD. IN THE PROCESS, THEY INGRATIATE THEMSELVES TO LOCAL EMPLOYERS AND BECOME MORE AND DEAR TO THEIR COMMUNITY. 217 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THIS PROGRAM. IN 2015 TO 2016.
