Over the course of its 28-year history, VCR has provided leadership in the St Louis region in bringing together hundreds of organizations, community partners, and parents to collaboratively address the needs of at-risk children and families. This work has included providing backbone support and facilitation for community-wide collaborative initiatives such as STLCANN, System of Care, and LEAP Ahead STL. VCR also administers two five-year such as the RECC, STLCANN, and System of Care, and LEAP Ahead STL, VCR also federally funded initiatives: Project LAUNCH funding through SAMHSA, the PACT-STL through the Children's Bureau. Both initiatives are serving to sustain and expand work that has already begun both within VCR and with our child-serving partners. As a result, parents and families have been in the forefront of collaborative efforts to 1) identify community needs: 2) develop responsive plans; and 3) implement needed strategies.
