Provide a food pantry that distributes food to those in need and provide a center for other organizations that provide assistance to those in need.
Provided food for individuals in need. Food was provided through monthly distributions to an average of 469 households or 1,254 individuals each month. In addition to the $11,537 in purchases we received 871,489 pounds in donated food items
Bags of personal care products such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo, detergent, etc for individuals 60 years of age and older. $4 per household per month. Expenses would be total expenses paid by Senior Citizens Grant which is a local county grant including grants of $16,000
Food demonstrations/education on making healthy food choices and menus at food distributions which were conducted & funded by the MU Extension and Food for Morgan County Inc. Due to Covid 19 demonstrations were held January thru March 2020. The average household served during this three month period was 533.
