THE MISSION OF THE BSA IS TO PREPARE YOUNG PEOPLE TO MAKE ETHICAL DECISIONS OVER THEIR LIFETIMES BY INSTILLING IN THEM THE VALUES OF THE SCOUT OATH AND LAW. THE BSA PROGRAM SEEKS TO POSITIVELY IMPACT YOUTH RISK BEHAVIORS, JUVENILE CRIME, SCHOLASTIC SUCCESS, SELF-SUFFICIENCY AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT BY PROVIDING A COMPREHENSIVE, PREVENTATIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM THAT WILL STRONGLY INFLUENCE A YOUTH'S ETHICAL DECISION-MAKING, SOCIAL AND LIFE SKILLS RESULTING IN THEIR DEVELOPING INTO HEALTHY, PRODUCTIVE CITIZENS IN OUR COMMMUNITY.
