PROMOTING AWARENESS OF BOARDING SCHOOLS.

THE NORTH AMERICAN BOARDING INITIATIVE IS A TEAM EFFORT BETWEEN THE ASSOCIATION OF BOARDING SCHOOLS AND PARTICIPATING MEMBER SCHOOLS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND REACH THE DOMESTIC BOARDING MARKET. IT SEEKS TO DEVELOP A CLEAR, COMPREHENSIVE, AND COMPELLING SET OF RECOMMENDED ACTIONS DESIGNED TO LIFT DEMAND FOR COLLEGE PREP BOARDING SCHOOLS AMONG TARGETED NORTH AMERICAN STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

THE ASSOCIATION OF BOARDING SCHOOLS ("TABS") PROVIDED A VARIETY OF MARKETING SUPPORT FOR MEMBER SCHOOLS IN ITS EFFORTS TO REACH FAMILIES CONSIDERING BOARDING SCHOOLS. TO THIS END, THE ORGANIZATION MAINTAINS A WEBSITE, BOARDINGSCHOOLS.COM, WHICH IS THE ESSENTIAL ONLINE RESOURCE FOR INFORMATION ABOUT BOARDING SCHOOLS AND BOARDING SCHOOL LIFE, WITH EXCLUSIVE VIDEO CONTENT, NARRATIVE INSIGHTS ON BOARDING SCHOOLS AND WHAT TO EXPECT, AND GUIDANCE ON SCHOOL SELECTION AND THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR BOTH PARENTS AND STUDENTS. THE WEBSITE ALSO FEATURES A SCHOOL BROWSER THAT ALLOWS VISITORS TO CONDUCT CUSTOM SEARCHES OF BOARDING SCHOOLS BY GEOGRAPHIC DISTANCE, LEAST TO MOST POPULOUS, GENDER RATIO, AND OLDEST TO NEWEST. AN ADDITIONAL GUIDED SEARCH FEATURE ALLOWS USERS TO TARGET MORE CRITERIA SUCH AS COURSES, ARTS, AND ATHLETIC INTERESTS, AND AN ONLINE LIBRARY FEATURES A VARIETY OF RELEVANT RESEARCH AND TIMELY NEWS RELATED TO TABS AND THE BOARDING SCHOOL COMMUNITY.

THE TABS INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL PROGRAM COMPRISES TWO SERIES OF BOARDING SCHOOL FAIRS - ONE IN THE FALL SPANNING EIGHT CITIES IN ASIA AND THE OTHER IN THE SPRING SPANNING THREE CITIES IN LATIN AMERICA - THAT OFFER AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SCHOOL ADMISSION OFFICERS TO MEET AND RECRUIT PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS.
