The mission of the Neohumanist College of Asheville is to build a 'university without walls' for sharing knowledge that cultivates the vision of Indian philosopher, political activist and mystic, Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar. Neohumanism as an educational system teaches students to identify themselves as fundamentally being a part of one integrative, cohesive, divine whole. The NHCA offers a hybrid institution of online learning and onsite mentoring offered by faculty from around the world for the establshment of schools pre-K through college, training of teachers, research and dissemination of related publications and materials. Taking a planetary perspective, this format offers the practical expertise of Neohumanist professionals across an array of fields to students in all corners of the globe for their personal self-development and for transformation of the planet as a whole.
In the words of founder P.R. Sarkar, Neohumanism is 'the [cultivation] of love for all created beings of the universe.' The mission of the Neohumanist College of Asheville is to share knowledge that cultivates a Neohumanist vision and fosters creating sustainable futures for all.
