Nurturing Families: Early Learning available to qualified families for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. MotherLove provides mentoring and support for teen pregancies while encouraging them to continue their education. . Empowering Women: Empowerment Childcare provides affordable childcare services for women seeing employment or education. Responding to Covid, we add a remote learning pod that served over 30 children so their parents could work. Further, through resourcefulness, our program helped 56 women graduate high school, pay off debt, gain living wage jobs and meet other personal advancement goals with many of them serving Covid front lines: CNAs, grocery personel and other high-exposure jobs.
Promoting Health: Diabetes wellness intervention training regarding healthy lifestyles using nutrition and exercise. Eliminating Racisim: Workshops are offered community-wide that enhance the understanding of racism and racial justice: Stand Against Racisim , a nationwide YWCA program, raises awareness about the negatvie impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities. This year we sponsored 3 rounds of our 21 day challenge engaging nearly 1,500 community members in racial equity and social justice education. Lastly, we launched "Virtual Social Justice Hangout" an unstructured open forum to raise awareness.
