DAVIE MEDICAL CENTER IS A 50 ACUTE CARE BED HOSPITAL PROVIDING MEDICAL, EMERGENCY, AND OUTPATIENT CARE SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF DAVIE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA AND SURROUNDING AREAS. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS A SATELLITE PROVIDER OF WAKE FOREST BAPTIST HEALTH SPECIALTY SERVICES AT ITS BERMUDA RUN CAMPUS IN BOTH MEDICAL PLAZA ONE AND MEDICAL PLAZA TWO, INCLUDING CARDIAC REHABILITATION, CARDIOLOGY, OPHTHALMOLOGY, GASTROENTEROLOGY, NEUROLOGY, ORTHOPAEDICS, PULMONOLOGY, PODIATRY, SLEEP LAB, IMAGING, PHYSICAL THERAPY, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, ENDOSCOPY, LAB AND PHARMACY. DAVIE MEDICAL CENTER ("DMC") IS ACCREDITED BY THE JOINT COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION OF HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS. OTHER STEPS RELATED TO COVID-19 INCLUDED OPENING MORE THAN A DOZEN RESPIRATORY SYMPTOM CLINICS AT EXISTING FAMILY MEDICINE, PRIMARY AND URGENT CARE LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE HEALTH SYSTEM; ESTABLISHING A COVID-19 RESPONSE FUND TO GALVANIZE COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR PATIENTS AND HEALTH CARE WORKERS; PARTICIPATING IN A COMMUNITY-WIDE EFFORT TO PRODUCE AND DISTRIBUTE MASKS; AND LEADING A COMMUNITY-BASED RESEARCH STUDY OF THE NOVEL CORONAVIRUS WITH PARTNERS JAVARA INC. AND ORACLE.
