TRACTOR implements its program service accomplishments in three areas. Healthy Harvest Program: In 2019, the Healthy Harvest Program sourced over 20 tons of fresh produce and delivered to food pantries in Mitchell and Yancey counties. According to food pantry data, the produce reached over 5000 Appalachian families relying on alternative and emergency food sources.
Clinical Referral Program: In 2019, the Program provided bags full of local produce for 101 Western NC families who screened positive for food insecurity or diet-related illnesses when examined by their physician. Once a week, for 18 weeks, the organization sourced produce from local farmers in order to meet the needs of each family.
