WORLD THROMBOSIS DAY (WTD) IS A WORLDWIDE INITIATIVE TO INCREASE GLOBAL AWARENESS OF BLOOD CLOTS, INCLUDING THEIR CAUSES, RISK FACTORS, SIGNS/SYMPTOMS, AND EVIDENCE-BASED PREVENTION AND TREATMENT. ULTIMATELY, WTD AIMS TO REDUCE DEATH AND DISABILITY CAUSED BY DISEASE.
