SINCE 1982, CHILD CARE RESOURCES INC. ("CCRI") HAS BEEN THE DRIVING FORCE BEHIND CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR FAMILIES ACROSS THE ECONOMIC SPECTRUM IN THE CENTRAL CAROLINAS. BEYOND ITS DIRECT SERVICE AREA, CCRI ALSO PLAYS A CRITICAL ROLE AT THE STATE AND REGIONAL LEVELS BY LEADING SEVERAL KEY STATEWIDE INITIATIVES, SERVING AS ONE OF THREE AGENCIES THAT TOGETHER LEAD THE NC CHILD CARE RESOURCE AND REFERRAL COUNCIL, AND ADVOCATING FOR SYSTEMIC IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH AN ARRAY OF SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR YOUNG CHILDREN, THEIR FAMILIES, AND EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS AND PROGRAM ADMINISTRATORS. CHILD CARE RESOURCES INC. PROGRAMS: CCRI SERVES CENTRAL CAROLINA FAMILIES OF CHILDREN FROM BIRTH THROUGH 5 AND CHILDREN FROM 6 THROUGH 13 WHOSE FAMILIES SEEK SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE. CENTERS OF EXPERTISE INCLUDE: (1)FAMILY INFORMATION SERVICES: DELIVERING INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT SO THAT FAMILIES SELECT EARLY LEARNING AND SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE SERVICES THAT PROMOTE CHILD WELL-BEING. (2)EARLY LEARNING QUALITY ADVANCEMENT: PROMOTING EXCELLENCE THROUGH QUALITY IMPROVEMENT, QUALITY ASSURANCE SERVICES, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORTING EFFECTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. (3) FINANCIAL AID: INCREASING THE ABILITY OF ELIGIBLE WORKING FAMILIES TO AFFORD EARLY LEARNING AND SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE SERVICES AND INCREASING THE BUSINESS CAPACITY OF PROGRAMS TO SERVE THEIR CHILDREN WELL. (4) RESEARCH AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT: ADVANCING POLICY AND PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE AND IMPROVED EARLY LEARNING AND SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR ALL CHILDREN, BIRTH THROUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL. (5) EARLY HEAD START - CHILD CARE PARTNERSHIP: PARTNERING WITH CHILD CARE PROVIDERS IN MECKLENBURG AND BURKE COUNTIES TO SERVE INFANTS AND TODDLERS WHOSE FAMILIES LIVE AT OR BELOW THE FEDERAL POVERTY LEVEL IN A COMPREHENSIVE FULL DAY CHILD CARE PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES HEALTH, MENTAL HEALTH AND FAMILY SUPPORTS. CHILD CARE RESOURCES INC. FY20 ACCOMPLISHMENTS: (1) IN MECKLENBURG COUNTY, CCRI ADMINISTERED $71.9 MILLION IN CHILD CARE SUBSIDIES FOR 8,907 CHILDREN (MONTHLY AVERAGE), ENABLING THEIR PARENTS TO WORK AND/OR ATTEND SCHOOL. (2) CCRI'S CHILD CARE SEARCH HELPED 4,390 FAMILIES (REPRESENTING 6,714 CHILDREN) ACCESS CONSUMER EDUCATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES TO LOCATE AND DIFFERENTIATE PROGRAMS THAT MEET THEIR NEEDS. (3) CCRI SERVED 412 EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION AND SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT MECKLENBURG, UNION AND CABARRUS COUNTIES (77% OF THREE-COUNTY LICENSED CHILD CARE MARKET) BY DELIVERING TRAINING AND/OR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO INCREASE PRACTITIONERS' CAPACITY TO BETTER SERVE ENROLLED CHILDREN. (4) CCRI'S EARLY HEAD START - CHILD CARE PARTNERSHIP SERVED 216 INFANTS AND TODDLERS.
