Organizations Filed Purposes:
To unite churches, individuals, businesses adn other non-profits for the mentorship, foster care and hosting needs of youth in our city.
CFK organized several events to celebrate holidays, graduations and other special events with foster children in our community.
CFK began a program called Socialight that seeks to support and encourage Social Workers in the Department of Social Services in Mecklenburg County NC who work with foster and orphaned children. Within the limits and regulations, CFK organizes individuals and groups to provide meaningful connections, resources and encouragement as appropriate to social workers participating in the program.
CFK carried out monthly Weekend Miracle events throughout 2018 whereby youth available for foster care or adoption were cared for and introduced to pre-qualified adults who may serve as foster families, mentors or adoptive parents.
