Organizations Filed Purposes:
To impact the lives of young people of all backgrounds by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of golf.
Programming (All Seasons) In 2019, we had 2568 registrations in our programming. We offered programming at 8 locations throughout the year: Revolution Park Golf Club, Charles T. Myers Golf Club, Highland Creek Golf Club, Emerald Lake Golf Club, Ft. Mill Golf Club, Springfield Golf Club, Stonebridge, and Sunset Hills. We also added membership fees as a part of the registration process.
National School Program (NSP) We entered 10 new elementary schools. NSP is in all Mecklenburg County Elementary schools; as well as elementary schools in Union, Carbarrus, York, Catawba/Alexander and Lincoln Counties totaling 211 schools. This equates to approximately 129,100 elementary students. A great success was the 5th Annual Champions Challenge which hosted competitors from 47 elementary schools, their PE teachers and their families. Over 100 volunteers assisted with the event.
Camps, Clinics, Life Skills, etc. To increase impact with our youth, we offer assistance and experiential learning opportunities throughout the year via camps, clinics, learning academies, tournaments, and the TEAVA (Teen, Eagle, Ace Value-Added) programming. In 2019, there were 11 national, regional and local opportunities for which our participants were selected. We had a successful 4th year of TEAVA (Teen, Eagle, Ace Value-Added) programming that included events such as Knights Games, college visits, and programming share-days with other Chapters in our region.
