The Corporation is organized for charitable and educational purposes to support the mission and activities of St. John's Episcopal Church and enable St. John's Church to more completely fulfill its mission by developing its ministries beyond that which is possible through its annual operating budgets.
The Corporation was organized in November 2017 to support the mission and activities of St. Johns Episcopal Church, Charlotte, North Carolina (St. Johns Church). St. Johns Church is a recognized congregation in union with the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina.During 2018, the Board of Trustees (the Board) established basic financial accounts, records, policies and procedures for the Corporation. The Board managed the orderly transfer of designated funds of St. Johns Church to the Corporation and established policies and procedures for the management, investment, and distribution of the funds to St. Johns Church, or to organizations on behalf of St. Johns Church, in accordance with the stated purpose of each fundThe Board initiated the work on the development and management of a Planned Giving program for St. Johns Church. Parishioners will be encouraged to leave a legacy gift to St. Johns Church through planned gifts during and after their lifetime. These gifts will enable St. Johns Church to more completely fulfill its mission by developing its ministries beyond that which is possible through its annual operating budgets.
