To enrich and impact the lives of economically disadvantaged youth of NC by filling the educational gaps, emotional and lack of parental involvement through the utilization of sports.
Our vision is to transform communities by inspiring youth to dream big and excel at their fullest potential. We believe that all children can aspire and strive to live out their dreams, if provided with the necessary tools and resources to succeed. The Tresports Program delivers an array of services including activities that promote the concepts and principles of restorative justice (competency development, public safety, and accountability. The Program is designed to address the elevated risks factios of Mecklenburg County: Youth associating with delinquent peers, unexcused absences and long and short tem suspensions, functioning below grade level. Because poverty, parent-child conflict, and academi failure are associated with so many of the elevated risks identified by the JCPC, the program emphasizes skills development and education as a means to improve ones life.
