TO PROVIDE TRANSFORMATIVE CYCLING EXPERIENCES TO UNDERSERVED YOUTH.
RE-CYCLERY & REPAIR SHOP: REPAIRED 1,362 DONATED BIKES FOR EARN A BIKE PROGRAM AND TO SELL TO THE COMMUNITY; OPERATED REPAIR SHOP OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY TO PROMOTE CYCLING, TO COMMUNICATE THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION, AND TO RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS. DURING THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, WE WERE ABLE TO MODIFY OPERATIONS TO COMPLY WITH HEALTH GUIDANCE AND CONTINUE TO SERVE THE COMMUNITY BY PROMOTING CYCLING AS A HEALTHY OUTDOOR OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.
EARN A BIKE PROGRAM: 8 CLASSES; 51 KIDS GRADUATED AND EARNED A BIKE WITH A LOCK AND HELMET. OUR ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO OFFER BIKE SAFETY AND CARE CLASSES DURING THE PANDEMIC, MODIFYING CLASSES AS NEEDED TO MEET HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES.
RIDE PROGRAM: 7 RIDES WITH 61 KIDS PARTICIPATING. TO OBSERVE SAFETY REGULATIONS DURING THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, OUR ORGANIZATION HALTED THE RIDE PROGRAM FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR VOLUNTEERS AND KIDS. WE CONTINUE TO MONITOR HEALTH GUIDELINES AND SCHEDULE ADDITIONAL RIDES TO PROVIDE CYCLING EXPERIENCES FOR UNDERSERVED YOUTH WHILE MAINTAINING A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR STAFF, YOUTH AND VOLUNTEERS.
