Organizations Filed Purposes:
University City Connect engages businesses & organizations in University City, Charlotte, creating partnerships & volunteer opportunities that strengthen our community. By identifying & coordinating resources to meet needs in our public schools,neighborhoods & Nonprofits.
Race2Educate is an annual 5k Run/Walk event raising funds to support college scholarships and direct assistance to our University City area schools.The 2019 race was the sixth annual with 754 registered participants.
Scholarship Program - In addition to supporting University City Schools with Race2Educate, University City Connect supports local students with college scholarships. In 2019, UCity connect supported 4 students.
Community Support - UCity Connect sponsors an annual book drive to support local University City elementary schools. The book drive is held the first weeks in August and all books are used in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools curriculum. In addition, UCity Connect is a partner and supporter of local programs and non-profits.
