The Escalator Award program provides institutional funding to support and advance women in cardiology by providing training, mentoring and networking support. 2019 was the first year of the program and no grants were awarded until 2020.
Women As One's digital program includes the creation of films and podcasts addressing the advancement of women in cardiology.
During 2019, Women As One hosted two Think Tank programs, bringing top women physicians and organizational leaders together to review current data around gender disparities in the profession of cardiology, and come up with constructive solutions for reducing these disparities moving forward. Many of the recommended solutions are now a part of the Women As One programming portfolio.
