Organizations Filed Purposes:
To support the work of Challenging heights (NGO in Ghana) that rescues children from slavery on Lake Volta and offers comprehensive aftercare services. They also work to prevent trafficking of other children. In the USA, we raise money to support the work in Ghana.
We raise funds to support the Ghanaian NGO Challenging Heights, which rescues children from slavery on Lake Volta. Once rescued, the children undergo rehabilitation in CH's recovery center where they receive medical care, counseling, education, ad love. CH also works to prevent trafficking.
Funds were used to rescue more than 70 children in 2020 and prevent hundreds more from being trafficked.
Donations provided healthcare, education, food, and love for all 70 children rescued from slavery.
Some funds were used towards women's empowerment program, which teaches women skills to earn a living, thus reducing the risk of trafficking their children.
