Organizations Filed Purposes:
Mid-Atlantic Lutherans In Mission (MALIM) is a vital channel for mission support, development, and innovation, born out of a need to address an abundance of mission opportunity, changing patterns of mission support, and funding innovative models for ministry in the 21st-century church. MALIM is committed to moving God's mission forward in the Mid-Atlantic region in support of the Southeastern District, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (SED-LCMS). As we receive gifts and give mission grants we do so based on the things we value: vision that is mission driven, projects that are innovative, leadership that is passionate about God's mission, transparent stewardship of funds received and granted, and strategy that is results-oriented.
Mid-Atlantic Lutherans in Mission, Inc. (MALIM) operates for the charitable purpose of promoting and financially supporting God's mission and ministry as carried out by: (i) the Southeastern District of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (the "LCMS"); (ii) now existing and yet-to-be-formed LCMS congregations located in the states of Delaware, Maryland, North and South Carolina, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia, and York and Lancaster Counties PA (collectively, the "Mid-Atlantic Region"); and (iii) mission projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
