Organizations Filed Purposes:
To provide opportunities for people affected by HIV and AIDS to have safe, affordable housing and access to services to improve and enrich their lives, and to educate the broader community about the realities of living with HIV today.
During 2019 the Organization continued to operate two housing programs Fitts-Powell Apartments, a fourteen unit apartment complex, and New Blevins, a six-bedroom communal living home. The Organization received funding to correct a drainage issue at Fitts-Powell, and also hired a part-time house manager for Blevins to provide a consistent level of support and resource connections for stakeholders. The Organization continued its collaboration with Wake County Health and Human Services by providing shelter to a homeless PLWHA. The Organization also continued to receive food support and household supplies from First Calvary Baptist Church, White Rock Baptist Church, and the Alliance of AIDS Services. During 2019 the Organization provided housing and supportive services for 24 households.
