Organizations Filed Purposes: Durham For All is building a new majority 10,000 people strong -- a multiracial, cross-class progressive movement led by people of color and working-class people. Through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and political education, we take action together at the ballot box and in the streets to win back our government and put it to work -- for all of us.

Educate and mobilize Durham residents to take action together to build a Durham for all.

Our Leadership Development, Mobilizing, and Electing program work in 2019 focused on two campaigns: Economy for All Campaign: In order to challenge inequality and democratize decisions about Durhams economy, we educated and organized community members around participatory budgeting and a $95 million affordable housing bond. We canvassed and reached out to thousands of residents throughout the year, and then mobilized to bring our endorsed City Council and Mayoral candidates to victory.Decriminalize Durham Campaign: We continued this campaign from the previous year to educate the community about the positions of District Attorney, Sheriff, and local judgeships; and to co-led a program that trained 5 justince-involved leaders who advocated for progressive leadership in the recently elected Durham District Attorney and Sheriff.
