Organizations Filed Purposes: OUR MISSION IS TO STRENGTHEN THE WHOLE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING AND ADVANCING BILINGUAL AND CULTURALLY INFORMED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT FOR UNDERSERVED SPANISH SPEAKING INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING: 1) HIGH IMPACT (EVIDENCE BASED) CLINICAL SERVICES; 2) TRAINING PROFESSIONALS WHO WORK WITH THIS POPULATION; 3) PREVENTION, EDUCATION AND OUTREACH IN THE COMMUNITY.

EL FUTURO WAS FOUNDED AS AN ALL-VOLUNTEER EFFORT TO ADDRESS THE NEED FOR BILINGUAL, CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE SERVICES FOR THE GROWING LATINO IMMIGRANT AND REFUGEE POPULATION OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA, AND SINCE THAT TIME HAS BECOME THE LEADING PROVIDER OF BILINGUAL MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IN THE STATE. EL FUTURO'S MISSION IS TO NURTURE STRONGER FAMILIAS TO LIVE OUT THEIR DREAMS.

OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT FOR LOW-RESOURCE LATINO IMMIGRANT/REFUGEE FAMILIES FROM DURHAM, ORANGE, CHATHAM, AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. FY 20 SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE: A) OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES WERE PROVIDED FOR 1,776 LATINO INDIVIDUALSB) 13,492 MENTAL HEALTH SESSIONS WERE PROVIDED, INCLUDING THERAPY, PSYCHIATRY, SUBSTANCE USE, AND CASE MANAGEMENTC) 80% OF CLIENTS SERVED EXPERIENCED CLINICAL IMPROVEMENTS OR STABILIZATION, MEANING FEWER SYMPTOMS LIKE DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, PTSD, AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERD) 85% OF CLIENTS SERVED EXPERIENCED FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS OR STABILIZATION, MEANING IMPROVED ABILITY TO FUNCTION IN NORMAL SOCIAL ROLES AT HOME, WORK, AND SCHOOL.E) TRANSITIONED ALL OUTPATIENT SERVICES TO TELEHEALTH SERVICE DELIVERY DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.

LA MESITA LATINX MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL NETWORK - TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND CAPACITY BUILDING SUPPORT FOR OTHER MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS SERVING LATINO FAMILIES AROUND THE STATE IN ORDER TO BUILD THE WORKFORCE IN A FIELD WITH A CRITICAL SHORTAGE, REDUCE ISOLATION AND BURNOUT, AND ULTIMATELY IMPROVE LATINO MENTAL HEALTH OUTCOMES. FY20 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:A) THE VIRTUAL COMMUNITY OF LEARNING GREW TO ALMOST 900 MEMBERS.B) 852 PROVIDERS AND ALLIED PROFESSIONALS ATTENDED 30 WEBINARS ON LATINO MENTAL HEALTH. AVERAGE WEBINAR ATTENDANCE GREW FROM 35 WEBINAR ATTENDEES IN 2018 TO OVER 100 AT THE CLOSE OF FY20.C) 94 PROVIDERS SERVING OVER HALF THE STATE'S COUNTIES COMPLETED A 5-MONTH, INTENSIVE LEARNING COHORT ON CULTIVATING CULTURALLY-RESPONSIVE PRACTICES, INCLUDING COMPLETION OF TANGIBLE PROJECTS THAT IMPROVED PROVIDER PRACTICES.D) 56 PROVIDERS ATTENDED ECHO CASE CONSULTATIONS TO IMPROVE SERVICES FOR LATINO FAMILIES.

TELEFUTURO - TARGETED TELEHEALTH TREATMENT FOR LATINO FAMILIES THROUGH SPECIFIC PARTNER SITES IN RURAL AREAS, INCLUDING PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE NORTH CAROLINA FARMWORKER HEALTH PROGRAM AND OTHERS (OVER AND ABOVE DELIVERY OF TELEHEALTH SERVICES TO ALL OUTPATIENT CLIENTS AT EL FUTURO DUE TO COVID-19). FY20 ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:A) PROVIDED TELEHEALTH SERVICES TO 92 UNIQUE FARMWORKER CLIENTS AT SPECIFIC RURAL PARTNER SITES.B) PROVIDED 175 TELEHEALTH ENCOUNTERS THROUGH RURAL PARTNER SITE LOCATIONS.C) EXPANDED TO 4 PARTNER SITES TOTAL.
