Organizations Filed Purposes:
Southern Vision Alliance (SVA) is a justice centered values-based grassroots intermediary organized to provide incubation, infrastructure, capacity building, coaching, and technical assistance to frontline organizing projects, leadership programs, and collaborations led by directly-impacted communities in the US South.
Support and capacity-building for community organizations in the South.
SVAs Youth Engagement programs work with youth ages 18-30 to build a more fair and just future. The trainings and fellowship program provides organizing skills, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities to help develop young people into community leaders.
SVAs Movement Support programs help provide strategic hubs for collaborations with other community groups working toward social, economic, environmental, and racial justice in North Carolina. Support is provided through supportive services, infrastructure, and technical assistance.
SVA's Frontline Funds program provides modest financial support to projects working for justice and equity. In 2019 SVA had two funds, Queer Mobilization Fund, and the Millennial Voter Engagement Fund.
