We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.
We envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams.
The organization served over 1,002 girls in 2018. Impacting communities in fourteen counties by hosting over 80 Girls on the Run and Heart and Sole program sites in schools and community locations. Providing a physical activity based positive youth development program for 3rd through 8th grade girls, twenty lessons are delivered twice weekly by trained volunteer coaches. Each site completes a community impact project as part of the curriculum delivering value back to their respective communities. Furthermore, at the completion of each ten week course, the program participants join with a running buddy and complete a non-competitive 5K. The event hosts thousands of individual supporters of the participants as well as community partners in celebration of achieving such an empowering goal.
