Charlies Angels Animal Rescue is a Western North Carolina non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to saving the lives of adoptable dogs and cats who would die without our intervention.
In this fiscal year, we established a pet food bank to assist families struggling to feed their animals. We also continued serving our community by donating food to food banks in order to assist them in meeting their client's pet needs. Even in good times, a medical emergency can create havoc on a family budget. With the assistance of a grant, we were able to establish a fund to help pay for emergency medical care for their pets.
Our greatest accomplishment was finding homes for animals in our community by working closely with our municipal shelter partners in Henderson, Transylvania and McDowell counties to save adoptable dogs and cats from euthanasia. We assisted in multiple hoarding and abuse situations, owner surrendors, and animal abandonment. Thanks to community support, we were able to provide all these animals with shelter, food, and the medical care they needed before placing them in their forever home.
During the tax year, 205 animals were rescued/ taken in and 210 animals were adopted into "forever homes" We had 109 animals spayed or neutered and all animals taken in / rescued by Charlie's Angels Animal Rescue are examined by a verterinarian.
