Camp Tekoa, Inc. is a multi-site ministry of the united Methodist Church. Camp Tekoa is located in Hendersonville, NC. Tekoa Foothills is located in Casar, NC. Tekoa's Mission is: "Touching Hearts. Changing Lives. Sharing the Light of Christ." Tekoa has several ministries including summer camp, Tekoa Missions, Let's Grow Outside Afterschool, and Retreats. Our summer camps offer a variety of onsite programming and offsite adventure camps. We offer day camps, elementary camps, middle school camps and high school camps. We also offer special needs programming in the summer and throughout the year.
During our retreat season, we welcome many groups to meet together, fellowship and experience spiritual renewal. Group housing offerings include our cabins, lodges, and campsites. Tekoa develops uniquely crafted spiritual retreats for groups. Also in our offseason, Let's grow Outside Afterschool supports six area schools. These children work on homework, play outside, participate in parades and other community events and host over 1000 people for our annual Trails and Treats experience.
Tekoa Foothills is a rapidly growing part of Tekoa. This ministry of Cleveland County runs creative summer programming, Unplugged homeschool educational enrichment programs and hosts volunteer events. It is also the site of Tekoa Missions, which is a program that assists people in need with home repairs in the greater Cleveland County area.
