The organizations mission is to promote the areas apple industry by providing support to local apple growers and organizing an annual apple festival over Labor Day weekend.
The organization (the NCAF) estimates that its annual Apple Festival draws in excess of 230,000 visitors from all over the US and that the festivals street fair injects more than $10,000,000 into the local economy annually. In support of the local apple growers, the NCAF provides a free booth at the festival to fifteen apple growers for them to promote and sell fresh apples, as well as other apple products.
