ADS MISSION IS TO PROMOTE HEALTH AND WELLNESS THROUGH PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY SUBSTANCE MISUSE, PREVENTION AND TREATMENT SERVICES THAT TRANSFORM LIVES.
TREATMENT SERVICES-ADS PROVIDES EFFECTIVE TREATMENT AND COUNSELING SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS ABUSING OR ADDICTED TO CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES. OUR PROFESSIONAL STAFF CONSIST OF LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES, CERTIFIED SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELORS AND A CONTRACTED PSYCHIATRIST. ADS IS NATIONALLY ACCREDITIED BY CARF INTERNATIONAL, AN INDEPENDENT NONPROFIT ACCREDITOR OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES. ADS PROVIDED TREATMENT SERVICES TO 679 INDIVIDUALS.
PREVENTION SERVICES-ADS PROVIDES THREE TYPES OF PREVENTION AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES: UNIVERSAL PREVENTION, SELECTIVE PREVENTION AND INDICATED PREVENTION PROGRAMS. THESE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, AND UNIVERSITIES IN ORDER TO RAISE AWARENESS. PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES WERE PROVIDED TO 136,461 CLIENTS THIS YEAR.
JUDICIAL SERVICES-ADS PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF SERVICES TO COURTS, PRIVATE DEFENSE ATTORNEYS, PROBATION AND PAROLE OFFICERS, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND THE OFFICE OF THE PUBLIC DEFENDER. THE PRIDE PROGRAM IS AN ADS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SHERIFF DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE ON-SITE TREATMENT PROGRAMS IN JAILS. WHILE IN JAIL, ELIGIBLE MALE DETAINEES WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROBLEMS ARE ADMITTED TO THE PROGRAM TO RECEIVE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING, AS WELL AS EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM OPERATES AS A JAIL BASED DAY TREATMENT PROGRAM. THE GUILFORD COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION CENTER PARTNERSHIP WITH ADS IS FOR YOUTH THAT ARE AT RISK FOR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. ADS PROVIDES SUBSTANCE USE ASSESSMENTS AND CASE SUPPORT SIX DAYS A WEEK AND BRIEF INTERVENTION TREATMENT SERVICES TO YOUTH ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS. THIS YEAR, ADS SERVED 259 CLIENTS IN JUDICIAL SERVICES PROGRAMS.
