To promote and enhance the welfare of individuals with disabilities by providing a program of therapeutic, educational and recreational value, and further, to empower individuals who are mentally, physically and/or emotionally challenged through the use of horses, while providing therapeutic benefits in a safe and controlled atmosphere.
Horsepower provides therapeutic horseback riding activities for children and adults with disabilities ranging from autism, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and brain injuries to emotional and learning disabilities. We also serve able-bodied students in several capacities, including youth summer horse camps, teamwork and equestrian instruction through local school partnerships, and leading businesses in days of caring activities.
