Kinston Teens is committed to our mission of empowering young people through service, leadership and civic engagement. Our organization has been on the frontlines responding to crises and natural disasters along with organizing against gun violence, poverty, and health disparities.
We've provided fresh produce, toiletries and PPE to community members to address food insecurity and promote safe and healthy living. Hosted a "Blessing Box" pantry that we stock daily with toiletries, canned goods and non-perishable food items that members of the community are welcome to at no cost. Our outreach initiatives served more than 3,000 voters in Lenoir County through voter registration, get-out-the-vote efforts, and providing food and PPE at polling locations in Kinston. Hosted virtual and (socially distanced) in-person leadership development trainings and community convenings.
